Monster Energy: Burn Energy Tour
2024

Challenge + InsightKingdom Collective approached Rodeo on behalf of Monster Energy for the Burn Energy Tour. Sub-brand Burn Energy (Monster Energy) tasked Kingdom Collective with developing a brand strategy to engage music audiences across multiple European markets. They collaborated with Mixmag to create of the Burn Energy Tour. Our role? To develop a distinctive brand identity for the tour, along with a comprehensive toolkit that included art direction, production guidance and design.

IdeaI designed a fresh new icon for the brand, featuring a dancing figure to symbolise the vibrant, personal connection between people and music—bringing the music back to the people. The icon was created using simple shapes, making it easily replicable and accessible for anyone to draw and engage with on a creative level.

For this project, I took the lead on design and guided our talented motion designer, Fabi Burnette, in bringing the static visuals to life. Together, we developed a dynamic design system that could be seamlessly applied across social media, print and environmental assets.

In addition, Fabi and I created a typographic system that challenges traditional hierarchies seen in club music spaces, ensuring that all artists’ names are prominently and equally featured across various assets. This system helped democratise the artist lineup, giving everyone the spotlight they deserve.

We also introduced a gradient that references Burn Energy’s original brand colours, which can be overlaid on artist imagery to seamlessly connect PR shots with the tour’s visual identity. This cohesive approach tied together the essence of the brand with the energy of the music and the artists.
