This is currently a WIP, I am curating a collection of personal findings, ephemera and books of personal significance to me. Not my own work, but defying my design approaches.

Challenge + InsightUtopia holds a different meaning for different people. For some, it may be politically based, while for others, it may be a picturesque scene of endless water flows glittering against a sunny backdrop with nature all around.

Through my search for my own sanctuary, I discovered that my utopia would be an anarchist society comprising communities that thrive on mutual aid, much like the utopia envisioned by the anarcho-communist thinker Peter Kropotkin.

Idea + Design MechanicsAfter defining my ideal utopia, I created a visual representation of the five key rights for its citizens: the right to self-expression with equal opportunities for all genders, races, and sexualities; the right to mutual aid rooted in helping others; the right to protest within a peaceful community; freedom of movement that respects diverse environments; and the right to choose one’s work and craft. I designed posters to remind citizens of these rights, along with stickers to encourage active participation.

The use of simple imagery, open-source fonts, and glyphs makes it easy for those living in these decentralised communities to adjust their rights and artwork based on what works best for them. These rights can also adapt to different climates and conflicts as they arise.
